What is it? – Kloofing or Canyoneering, is the exploration of a kloof/canyon from point A to point B using a range of techniques that include hiking, scrambling, bum-sliding, chimneying, rock pool jumping and rappelling/abseiling.
Will I be able to do it? – No prior experience needed, but participants need to be fairly fit and should be able to swim.
What will I learn? – Safety and awareness while moving over steep/rough terrain, and some important rope work skills like abseiling.

- R550pp without transport. Includes entrance fees and equipment hire.
- R750pp with transport. Includes entrance fees and equipment hire.
How long is it? – Total duration for the trip is around 5 hours, excluding the drive there.
What do I need to bring? – Comfortable clothes that don’t restrict movement and can get wet. Good walking or trekking shoes. Lunch, snacks and water. Medium sized back pack. Spare dry clothes and towel for after the trip.
What equipment do you provide? – We will have all the specialised harnesses, helmets, ropes and hardware that you will need to have a safe and adventurous day out.
How many people can join in? – Minimum 2, maximum 4 with transport provided. Maximum 6 with self drive.
Where is it? – Bergheim Holiday Resort near Rustenburg/Magaliesburg. But we can provide transport for you/your group from JHB/PTA if needed at an additional cost.
